WE ARE OPEN! Garages are on the government list of businesses allowed to remain open. Be assured that we are following all the necessary health precautions to prevent the spread of the virus. Anyone entering our premises will be asked to wash their hands on arrival and when leaving. Vehicle interiors and equipment used are being wiped down with antibac/antiviral wipes. All bills should be paid by card or via bank transfer where possible. Thank you for your continued support.
2 – Latest guidance regarding MOT tests
Lorry and trailer tests have been suspended for 3 months. Cars, vans and motorcycle tests will be suspended for 6 months from 30.3.2020. This does not however negate the need for ensuring your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition. DVSA has stated “vehicles must be kept in a roadworthy condition and drivers can be prosecuted if they drive an unsafe vehicle”. We are still open and able to check and/or service your vehicle to keep it safely on the road. Some MOT testing stations are open so when your MOT is due we may still be able to do this for you. Please ring us to check. The guidance from DVSA is that if you are able to MOT your car when it is due you should still do so.
3 – We are open and able to carry out any essential repairs and maintenance to your vehicles. Special priority will be given to key workers and delivery vehicles to allow you to continue doing your amazing work for us all!
4 – We are offering a free 10-point health check to all key workers – this includes NHS/care sector workers, supply chain vehicles and supermarket workers. Please call us to book. The check should take no longer than 30 minutes and you will be given a checklist. We will advise you if any problems need addressing and are happy to provide a free quote if any repairs are required to keep your vehicle in a roadworthy condition.
